I've never had an issue with gear guard on my thumb drive. It usually deletes old videos when full. Of course I got rear ended yesterday and the last video on the drive is from Feb 25th... Whyyyyyy

Should be under Incident Cam or Drive Cam. The latter will require you to remove the USB-C drive and view on an external device.

Sorry, I've connected the drive to my computer, in RoadCam - DriveStream the last video taken was 2/25.

When your thumb drive fills up the latest videos are saved to the internal drive NOT your external drive.

Same thing happened to me when I was rear-ended although I had already removed my usb thumb drive but hadn't put it back yet but the videos were recorded to the internal drive which I then copied to my external drive after I plugged it back in.

Best wishes on your repair experience. Wednesday will be 4 months since my accident and I HOPE to get my R1S back in a couple weeks.

$29K+ repair! I'm just glad it wasn't totaled since I only had it 17 months before the accident.

My experience is that video clips accumulate on my thumb drive until it is full. The vehicle does not erase old videos or manage them in any way.

True. However, when you remove the thumb drive they accumulate on the internal drive untill its near full and then you get a warning that it is almost full so then you can delete the oldest ones to free up space.

Not Drive Cam videos.

Not sure the difference but, incident videos while driving are recorded which was the point of of the OP.
Drive Cam is the entire drive, like a dash cam. Incident Cam is, well, clips of incidents taken from Drive Cam.

The accident apparently wasnt forceful enough to trigger incident cam, and I didn't think to hit the record button.

Sorry to hear. My '23 R1S was flawless for the first year and recorded everything on the flash drive. Then it stopped. I changed the flash drive 4 times. Now it randomly records. Had the mobile tech look at it today. He said it needed the SC to look at it.

Weird because it was my understanding that they are recording all the time. FWIW, mine captured 20s-30s BEFORE impact as you can see below.
