Gen 2 driver side door rattle fixed!

In an attempt to resolve an annoying rattling sound emanating from my driver’s side door panel, I initially considered disassembling the door to identify and fix the issue. However, I opted to submit a service request, and yesterday, Rivian’s mobile service arrived promptly. They replaced the entire door panel with a new one, completing the task within a mere 15 minutes. Prior to installation, they ensured that the new panel was securely fastened, eliminating any loose components that were causing the rattling. I regret not being aware of this straightforward solution sooner, as I would have likely resolved the issue sooner. I highly recommend that anyone experiencing similar issues consider seeking professional assistance to address them efficiently.

I notice the absense of the negitive long threads complaining about Rivian and fears of bankruptcency doom n gloom. I appriciate the Rivian mobil crew and was amazed myself at the speed in wich they do what they do.

I also have a rattle in my driver door. Somewhat intermittent but annoying nonetheless. Might have to submit a service request.

I had some rattles on my Gen 1 and I had to bring it in for a day. They did an excellent job fixing them. The tech walked me through the issues, which make sense. The doors look so great because they're pretty complex...maybe overly complex which leads to a lot of chances for rattles.

Def submit a ticket, Rivian knows how to fix these.

I've also suffered from rattles from (seemingly) all 4 doors on my R1S. A few mobile tech visits helped for awhile, but they returned (or new ones developed). Recently, took the time to have my wife drive the car around while I systematically tried to isolate the rattles. For at least some of these, it appears to be caused by rubbing between the interior door panels and the metal door frame itself. Putting pressure with my hand on various places would pause the rattle. I took this further based on some other forum posts and carefully worked in small pieces of felt at suspect locations. I used a guitar pick and a tiny flathead screwdriver to slot the felt in certain places. Glamorous? No. Functional? After a few weeks, seems the answer is yes! Most of the more annoying rattles seem to be gone. Hope this might help a few others out there trying to quiet down the ride!
