I saw these when looking to see what R1 wheels people are selling on eBay. And I think they look like Gen 2 Quad wheels. Right? A part supplier for Rivian has a leak?

They look sweet, but I thought the rear wheels were slightly wider on the Gen2 quad? All the rims look the same size.

Im probably wrong. And tire rotations would suck if that's the case.

Indeed, rear is an inch wider rim. 1.2" wider tire.

After having the stagard OEM 21" Arcachnid wheels on the Tesla, never again. They looked sweet but boy were they expensive to keep on the road.

I didn't notice they are not staggered, so these are probably knockoffs.

Wheel size: 22x9.5​

Offset: 47mm​

Bolt pattern: 5x139.7​

I checked out the seller's other items, and they are all "Factory Original OEM" wheels from multiple manufacturers.

Years ago I purchased some knockoff wheels, and they were OK. But why lie about it? Just say they are "replicas". I guess then they have to reduce the price significantly.

Anyway, those wheels are either OEM as the listing says, or knockoffs, but it is surprising they are for sale before the Quad is for sale.

The seller has a second account, with the same ad, at $4k and $200 shipping. They both have good reviews and Fakespot says they are real reviews. Still seems like a lot of cash for a fairly generic look, and it seems so unlikely to be OEM. For one, Rivian always puts an obvious sticker on the outside of the wheel. When looking for OEM parts for anything, I look for the photos to show QC stickers and other things that every OE puts on them. These show no evidence of any of that. Also, are Rivian wheels normally made in China?

I used to work for ebay motors, there is no controls on what people advertise or state so fraud is prevalent. I would never trust ebay items

I came across these just last week myself and it took me a while to figure out what they were! After checking the specs on the new quad and noticing the staggered tire setup, I reached out to the seller to ask if they were all 9.5" wide. He confirmed that, indeed, they were all 9.5" wide.

It's quite peculiar to see a set of these out in the wild already, given that the truck hasn’t even been officially released to the public yet.

On our new G2 R1s Tri Max, the 22" Sport Dark wheels are all 8.5" wide. According to TireRack.com, the OEM HL275/50R22 Pirelli Scorpion MS tires have an acceptable rim width range of 8-9". I’m guessing the 0.5" difference probably wouldn’t cause any problems.

The offset on the quad wheels is +47, compared to +48 on the 22" Sport Dark wheels. I’ve included a comparison using the calculator from wheel-size.com for reference.

According to the Motor Trend article, the new quad comes equipped with custom Rivian-spec Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires. Unfortunately, there’s no public spec info available yet for these tires in any 22" size.

I’m torn about it. They’re sharp-looking wheels and the price is reasonable. Gloss black is my go-to finish—I’m such a regular that my local powder coater probably has me on their Christmas card list!

P.S. Yes, I have developed a slight obsession with wheels and tires. Please don't tell my wife.

That would definitely make sense that the rears were 9.5 vs 8.5 considering the larger 305/45R22 rear tires are 1.2" wider than the 275/50R22 fronts.

Those are just painted 22” gen 2 aero wheels. I thought they were the gen 2 quads too the first time I saw them. A member here did the same to his 22” aero wheels and was asking everyone’s opinion of them.

Gen 2 quads aren’t one color. They are a gunmetal outer edge with black insides.
