New to the forum but sharing my delivery and first month experience.
Put in an order in dec 2021 and got access to the R1 shop in feb 2023.
first few weeks didn’t see anything good, then one that was exactly what I configured except with a spare tire-which I wanted anyway!
Took that and it was ready for delivery 48 hours later, it took me longer to get a check than that and ended up picking it up 5 days after selecting the config. This was all out of the Costa Mesa service center.
Took delivery- all good, except the audio system was only bass. Took it back and one of the techs fixed it, on our way. Also for some reason they didn’t fill it with washer fluid.

Loving the truck so far! I have a 120 mile commute round trip and it’s a pleasure to sit in with driver+ (except where it doesn’t work due to construction).

Had a few problems on delivery they are fixing now though:
-dent in a pillar speaker cover
-fender misaligned
-front camera got water inside it
-double vision on driver mirror, like the layers of glass weren’t bonded well

overall I love it!It replaced a Chrysler town & country ex rental car, so obviously a massive upgrade.

Congratulations on your Rivian! Great attitude on issues as well. Anyone buying a Rivian at this stage (early adopters) should fully understand what they are getting into and roll with the punches.......I have 23,000 miles on mine and love the fire out of it, quirks and all.

Yep it’s great- as long as they fix them it’s fine. I asked to wait for repairs until they had a loaner, so I’m still in an R1T, so they can take all the time they need.
Mine doesn’t have the frunk outlet or wood on the headrest backs though, anyone tried to get the to add them?

Congrats on the sharp new ride. That is QUITE an upgrade from your Chrysler!

There are quite a few people here in the forums who are addicted to that washer fluid. I bet one of them drained it from your truck while it was parked in the service center lot.

There are quite a few people here in the forums who are addicted to that washer fluid. I bet one of them drained it from your truck while it was parked in the service center lot.

2 weeks before I got this a piece actually flew off the Chrysler on the freeway…. It basically self destructed at 100k miles

Congrats! And yes, Rivian is certainly rationing the washer fluid…all 3 vehicles I’ve owned or driven gave me the “washer fluid low” notification even when brand new. 🤷‍♂️
