GPS Issue?

Had a weird issue pop up today. My R1S locked itself in my garage (I have unlock at home on). When I left earlier, I noticed for a split second the "no gps" icon was there but disappeared after a reset. Now my pop up garage door open icon pops up randomly while driving all over the place. I've disabled/re-enabled, deleted/added back the door and still keeps popping up all over town. Anyone else having any GPS issues?

Seeing the ‘no gps’ starting yesterday and still there this morning. Going to do a restart to see if that fixes it.

I lost GPS after the Halloween update. Service it would show the proper location when parked and soft/hard reset would make the location on the map go to all the places it has been then it would drop again. It seems like the GPS unit needs to be powered down completely. Service at the end of the month....BUT after a few weeks and doing a few deep sleep cycles (turn off all wifi, gear guard, Bluetooth, then hard reset (or soft) and leave for an hour (I did this overnight)) it came back, and it has been working since Nov 17th with no issues I can see. But if your unit doesn't respond at all after a reset the unit may be bad.
Rivian was understanding but still couldn't give an appointment for 2 months. A huge issue if you are planning a holiday trip since you will have to use your phone and an app instead of the infotainment.

Same here and it didn’t fix itself with the most recent update or hard resets

Have had this same experience since the holiday update. Truck just came back from (unrelated) service on Thursday afternoon, updated Thursday evening.

First drive on Friday morning I had GPS but about 5 miles from home the garage door popped up so I closed it out. Got home, no issues.

Second drive on Friday, no GPS and garage door randomly popping up when away from home multiple times. Got home Friday and no garage door ?
Have MyQ with the Tesla so opened it that way and parked her for the night.

Saturday still no GPS, random garage door popped up once in the couple hours I've been out. We'll see if it pops up at home today but I'm expecting that it won't.

Not sure if I care enough just yet to do anything. Haven't bothered with any resets yet and I'm definitely not pressed enough to head to the service center. Just keeping an eye on it for now.

Do you have a gear guard drive plugged in? If so remove the drive and do a hard reset. The drives get easily corrupt on the rivians esp if you are using a SAN disk SD card (what I was using and had this issue come up after halloweeen).

I ended up getting an SSD drive and no issues since. Hope it works for you!
