I loved the power running boards on my F150 Platinum! I didn’t love working on them every few months because the pivot points became corroded from road spray/salt/grime.

But I’m sure these are impeccably engineered and won’t have that problem. Especially since they’re advertised on IG.

These do seem to fill a niche and I hope they work out. More options is always better. They’re probably not for anyone who plans to take their R1T off road. But that’s what… 10% of us? (P.S. count me in the 90% unfortunately).

I'll keep waiting for the Amps to show up for Rivian. They are DIY install and tuck under the running boards a bit tighter than these look. They also are still flawless 7 years running in dirt and deep snow on a full size truck.

Look like they come down way too far, but maybe they should have filmed with the vehicle at standard height instead of kneeled.

I think you have the proportions backwards. The majority of Rivians will never see anything as rugged as a gravel road. If you are freqently driving your Rivian in the dirt, you are in the 10% that has more fun than everyone else who just drives to and from work.

The step part looks so narrow it would not be very useful IMO.

That looks like it eats up a considerable amount of clearance, and I dunno, just doesn't look "beefy" enough...

I welcome options, but I'm gonna let someone else give this a try.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Will they offer the installation? I am in So Cal area.

If it's anything like their crappy fixed running boards, I'm staying away. Hopefully we see something from AMP Research.
