My delivery guy had an issue too. Says there is an obstruction. We took everything out and it still won't auto close. Is there a fix? Bad sensor?

I had this issue when I bought mine used. They had panel misalignments that caused it. FYI, it took me 7 weeks to get a service appointment. Apparently the original owner ignored the issue.

If the 12V battery needed to be jumped at any point in your vehicle's history, then it's possible the panels that were removed weren't put back into place properly. They are a little fiddly to get in the right position. Check around and see if any of them are very loose.

Do you call or use the app? Car is brand new to us.
Your choice. I usually use the app and add whatever supporting media directly to the ticket.

It sounds like the pinch sensor getting triggered. You can pull it shut manually but when it tries to do it automatically the misalignment causes the pinch sensor to force it to open again. Ours had this same issue from the factory but only when the car was parked on an incline where the passenger side was lower than the driver side or the front was lower than the back of the car. It took the mobile service tech about 10 minutes to adjust the hinges and now it works perfectly and has perfect panel gaps.

You can do either. If you open service ticket in the app, they will follow-up with a phone call to review it with you, etc...same as if you were to call in.

Ours had the same issue. Put a ticket in. They will remove the sensor and put a new one in. Once they fixed it, haven't had an issue since.
