Got an update notice and tried to update. Failed and received a message about cloud not found or similar.

You can't force an update. If your Rivian app shows an update is available, you can start the update from the app. If the vehicle has a pending update ready to start, it will notify you when you get in the vehicle, or you can go into Settings on the infotainment screen and navigate to Updates to start an update.

I was going to suggest that you make sure you have a good WiFi connection for the download. But in rereading your post it sounds like the update has already downloaded, but won't install. Is that correct?
If it hasn't downloaded yet, do make sure the car has a good connection to your WiFi.

Some folks have mentioned in the past they connected their R1's to a highspeed Wi-Fi & that seemed to get the update sooner than waiting for it to download over the built-in att data connection we have in our R1's, but now with "Connect+" it's noted these paid subscribers get priority over non paid subscribers access to updates.

Once I either canceled an update or it failed. I was on the the with Rivian about something else and asked if they could send it again. They said they would send a message to resend the update and I would get it again in (if I remember correctly) 30 min - 2 hrs. It really didn't work. I can't remember if I got it again later that day or the next day.

Thanks for the responses. Notified update was ready yesterday, the new one, and it installed fine. Enjoyed SirusXM this morning on the way to a meeting.

I am a subscriber and still nothing. I’m not sure it matters because I know several people that received the update and do not subscribe.

I have some observations that I experienced, which indicate if you’re connected to a Rivian internal network such as at a service center, then the updates come quickly. Certainly worth a try if someone has easy access, park in a SC parking lot, connect to their network and see if things are quicker.

I’m two hours from my closest service center, so that’s definitely not happening for me.

That seems extremely unlikely, but now I really want to try it.

It happened to me once, but I don’t know if it was random timing or actually correlated to the Wi-Fi network I was on.

It’s literally been out for about 24 hours: You cannot seriously expect that “priority” means every subscriber will be first!?
