Disclaimer: I totally understand Rivian HVAC is a NVH mess, as is well documented. Asking apart from the general AC loudness.
For the last couple months a low hum has developed whenever the AC fan is on, at any speed. It is not the compressor, as it happens with fan on and if AC (compressor) is off. Hum increases with fan speed and goes away when fan is off, and audible at all fan speeds. Almost sounds like the blower wheel is tilted or hitting something. I’ve looked at the fan where it’s visible behind the fresh air filter, don’t see anything outside the norm. The sound seems to be coming from behind the fan itself.
Looking to see if this constant buzz/hum is normal in all R1’s or not. Video attached. Thanks all!
