Incoming Compass Yellow R1S Purchase! Registration questuon

Hey all!

My Compass Yellow launch edition is on its way to the Bellevue SC!!!

I have a question regarding Washington registration. I would love to get a personalized plate right away. Is this something my guide could possibly help with. I have asked, but had no response so far. I really don’t want to be issued a standard plate and wait for that to arrive before applying for my personalized plate.

If there’s anything specific I can ask for or request any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Strangely enough just got an email from the west coast guides -

At this time, we are unable to process specialty plates on your behalf. This is great feedback which I will take back to our team but unfortunatley at this time, if you want specialty license plates, you would need to request these directly through the DMV after you have received your standardized plates in the mail post-delivery.

OR here. Wanted a veteran plate that required a form. Got a similar answer, they would add it my paperwork for DMV. Pushed back a bit and they agreed to send me a self registration packet. Express mail pack on a Monday, delivery on the Friday before. Did it myself at DMV.

Self registration packet? That sounds like a solid idea. Did you have to complete that prior to delivery or how did that timing work out for you?

Was this something you brought up to the guide or another group/person within Rivian?

They seemed reluctant. Glad they did. Saved $450 in registration fees.
