Jealous of Idaho, but found future RAN charging station in Albuquerque, New Mexico

So after seeing Idaho got some Rivian love with a nice RAN charging station, I had to look at Rivian's plan for New Mexico. And I was happy to see a future charging spot in Albuquerque (and only a mile from my house. Though I guess I won't charge too often since, again, 1 mile from my house).

But I also know that "Coming S00N" is highly variable with Rivian (I'm looking at you Automatic Tonneau cover). So I rode my bike over (again, a freaking mile away) to check it out.

Looks like 5 regular stations and 1 pull through. Good progress, though again, coming s00n, so no idea when it will be done. Still good to see

Now if we can just get service and sales. I know that is tough as we have stupid laws about car makers also being dealerships, but there is a work around that Tesla has used to put two dealership/service in New Mexico...and that is by putting them on Pueblo land. And we have 19 Pueblos Rivian can work with (though only about 6 are in areas close to Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

I'm definitely stoked about the Burley, Idaho RAN location. Unfortunately, it's duplicative since it literally shares a parking lot with a Tesla SC station. We really need RAN locations off the interstate and into the middle of the state!

Yes, the Albuquerque site is also duplicated…there are 10 Tesla stations about 100 feet away.

but I like we are still being thought of by Rivian and I also prefer to avoid Tesla stuff when I can.

I really want a Ran station in White Sands.
that is an EV desert.

Thanks for the report, opens up some NM exploration even if redundant. I’d love to be able to tow our camper to Chaco canyon though, that part of the state seems really tough for ev-Ing especially while towing.

I see three power cabinets too, which means only two dispensers per cabinet. So no less than 150kW a dispenser.

Great news for NM! Agree that more RAN stations in remote places like White Sands would be great.
Apparently there are a number of NM state legislators driving Rivians now so perhaps that will help grease the wheels in getting a service station here one way or the other.

I loved riding my electric motorcycle up there. Really felt one with nature just gliding so quiet…till I could hear a Harley rider a mile away.

I have a suggestion for all national parks and motorcycle access:
Have the gas bikes park at the entrance and let them ride electric motorcycles inside the park. Similar to Pebble beach and 17 mile drive. No motorcycles allowed, but they allowed me and some friends ride our electric bikes there.
