Lift gate LED Lights - Turn Off

Is it possible to turn off the lift gate lights when camping without setting off all the power? I use a TailVale tent with lift gate opened.

I agree, had the same issue trying to tailgate in the evening watching fireworks. Wish there were a way to independently turn those lights off. (camp courtesy doesn't solve the problem) Would love to hear if you figure out a solution.

The manual says you can turn off the liftgate light from the settings. You can also adjust the brightness there. I don't have an R1S so I can't test that myself ...
