NACS Adapter

45XXX Gen 2 R1S, shipped out last week and delivery expected next Tuesday. Not quite sure what's the rhyme or reason behind the queue - I'm annoyed on y'alls behalf. Should always prioritize customers based on delivery date IMO

Gen2 R1S 54xxx. Haven't heard anything on mine yet, though did receive the email to opt in at delivery. I planned to wait a long time.

Not exactly related, but I reached out just before Christmas about the install of my tonneau cover. I purchased my R1T in June 2024. I was told when I purchased the truck they would contact me to install the cover before the end of the year. To my surprise they said they could schedule the install immediately. Why did I have to call them? They seem to have a “call us, because we won’t call you” policy. Like you I’m a little disappointed and frustrated.

Anyhow, I didnt mind the Chat person not knowing an answer, but what I thought odd was his dismissive response to my question “Does he know who would know?” ”No” was his response…not, “try calling XXX”. or “email XYZ”. He wanted to be off that chat and get to the other 40 in the queue. He should have been WAY more granular! Haha

And I’m over here with an extra one they sent me by accident (this happened to several of us who received a second adapter instead of a console organizer).

It’s been over a month and they have no solution to my issue. It’s honestly amazing how disorganized they are at the gear shop

Greetings all. I just reached out to Rivian, via the Chat function, to paraphrase: this is my VIN…can you tell me where I am on the list for an adapter? “I cannot see this info”. Is there anyone there who can? “No”. is this typical? This was my first exchange with Rivian in two years. Somewhat disappointed.

I took delivery of a 23 R1T Quad in May 2024 and just received my adaptor this week. Hope this helps. In December when I talked to the Denver service center (which is awesome) they shared Rivian's goal it to have all adaptors delivered by January. Have an amazing year ahead!!

I got the opt-in email around the first of Dec. About a week later got the address confirmation email. We received the adapter end of December.
I did send an email to customer service in November asking for an update and this prompted a call from them. This seemed to help.

I believe NACS adapters are shipped by the gear shop. Comms on gear shop orders have been a challenge for me in the past.

You can always pickup an A2Z or Lectron adapter from my store. I have discount codes to save a little on the cost.

I’m a June 24 delivery and also perplexed by this. I got the email to opt in and opted in but never got an address confirmation email.

I chatted with service and they seemed confused.

You will only get the address confirmation email when they're ready to ship. If you haven't received it, they're not ready to ship you one yet.

Service isn't going to be able to help you - you just have to wait your turn.

Your June 24 delivery date puts you among the last group to receive the adapters, so frankly there's no indication of a problem in your case. The last group is expected to get them by the end of January, so you're still right on track to receive one on schedule.

Rivian is currently shipping adapters to people who got delivery in June-July 2024, last I saw, and they plan to have everyone by the end of January. "Everyone" is everyone who received delivery before ~20 Sept 2024, so people who took delivery in early Sept 24, or Aug 24, or July 24, or June 24 are still waiting. Plus some small number of people who took delivery at other times, for unknown reasons.

Made a mistake on the date. June 23 delivery. I received the opt in email beginning of October. Nothing since.
