New at OpenSource EV Parts: NextGen Seat Back Tablet Mount

We're excited to share our latest addition: the NextGen Seat Back Tablet Mount. This third-generation mount is designed specifically for Rivian R1S and R1T, offering a secure way to mount your tablet or phone holder on the back of your front seat.



This NextGen mount has been redesigned from the ground up to make it more functional and durable. Here is what's new:

• Strength: It's now three times stronger, so it can handle heavier devices with ease.
• Easier Installation/Removal: We've overhauled where it contacts the hook to make install / deinstall quicker and easier.
• Adjustment: the 17MM ball is now positioned slightly further from the base for more finger room and better adjustability.
• Protective Padding: Includes an adhesive felt pad to prevent scratches, which is more important than ever with the new Ascent trim.

The NextGen Tablet mount is now available in three configurations:

1. Mount Only: For use with any 17mm based third-party tablet holders. (i.e. if you already have one)
2. Mount with Tablet Holder: It includes our validated tablet holder in the box - everything you need to install a tablet.
3. Complete Set: Includes both the tablet holder and a swappable hook attachment for hanging items.

This product continues to be a one-of-a-kind product on the market for Rivians. It features the following:

• Quick Assembly: Assembles in just 30 seconds with a single bolt and screwdriver.
• 100% Tool-Free Installation: Hooks onto the seat-back mount without any tools. Removes just as easy.
• Wide USB-C Compatibility: Expanded cutout for larger USB-C connectors.

The NextGen Seatback Tablet Mount is available to ship now from OpenSource EV Parts -they still start at $13.95. The complete kit is less than $10 more. They are made in house in Pittsburgh, PA, USA by a fellow Rivian owner and have a one-year warranty.

• That is an 11" iPad Pro being used in the promo photos.
• As always, we strongly recommend that you remove the holder when it's not in use. It stores easily in the rear seat door pocket, even with the tablet holder installed.

Yep, it should without issue. You'll need to detach the joycons and go sideways with the mount.
