IN STOCK AND SHIPPING!

Gang, our long awaited bed extender has launched! Took a minute to get our patent pending brackets dialed in, but WOW are they nice. This is a TRUE BOLT ON...no drilling, no driving screws into your bedliner, no cutting, NO PERMANENT MODS!

- Bolt on design with exclusive patent pending brackets designed and made by Team 1EV / EV Sportline
- Fits under tonneau covers
- Properly sized exactly for Rivian; This is not some random bed extender that is 'somewhat close' to Rivian size. We made this exactly for Rivian bed fitment, so it gives you maximum extension
- Includes all install hardware
- Includes safety elastic straps to hold extender down to tailgate

I had asked this on your YouTube channel but when you close the tailgate, is there a way to stop this from getting stolen?

If the bed extender is attached (with factory tonneau cover) can I still get access to the storage on the bottom of the bed or do I need to take it off? Seems like on the video (great one tho), it needs to be removed to open that compartment.

I came here to ask the same question. Great tutorial by the way.

If it’s like the extender I had on my Tacoma, when it’s folded “in” it makes a great little corral for small items between it & the tailgate, too

Came to ask the same thing as well... Based on the video, it looks like without those little spacers for the NON OEM cover; those of us with an OEM cover should be good. Would be nice to get confirmation before I hit buy though!

Please confirm @EV Sportline

What are you using to hold the crossbars to the back of the bed? Is that a product you guys sell? Or the Soonish one?

In the video, the sidebar is over the storage/spare tire compartment. So, it looks like it will have to be removed.

I like that it doesn’t require drilling into the bed or any other permanent alterations, but the price is almost 3x what others are priced at. Rough Country, for example, looks virtually identical to your design except for the attachment location. Theirs requires drilling three holes, but the attachment plate/pivot also looks the same. It’s not an expensive product, but spending 3x for the same thing is still hard to do. I’d rather support your company since you are a forum member. Is there any chance a discount code is available to bring the price closer to similar competitor options?

Thanks for the interest, please look at the product, the merits of quality, and how they perform. We priced ours based on our costs to make a proper Rivian kit, proper brackets that won't attached to the plastic bedliner, and a true bolt-on design. There is added cost associated with doing it right.

Rough Country is on clearance, that's why the price difference. These and other Amazon generic extenders that attach to bedliners with drilled holes and wood screws is not what you'll get from EV Sportline.

So I had a similar thought and had been looking at the two for over a week. I pulled the trigger on the EV Sportline today because of the engineering. For me it was less about drilling holes in the bed but more about the strength (or lack thereof) that the screw in the bed would support from Rough Country. I simply believe that the EV Sportline design provides a more structurally sound attachment point when you consider the forces that the screws would be required to support. EV Sportline is using the factory attachment point. After continued use, I just see the screws as a potential failure point. And that’s something I don’t want while going down a highway at 70+mph. Piece of mind is worth an extra $150 for me. As my dad used to say, if you are going to do something, might as well do it right.

I can appreciate that and I’m in the same boat. I’d rather go for the quality, too. Just figured I would check if there is a forum member discount before pulling the trigger.

There is no doubt yours attaches in a higher quality/more secure manner. Just figured I would check since the rest of the design is so close to theirs. I’ll be placing an order for yours today. Thank you for your reply.

They have RIVFORUM for free shipping. I found that in an old thread.

Thanks gang - yes, we work hard to design things we are proud of for Rivian Nation. We work on keeping costs down and reasonable, however we can. Sometimes it's harder than we'd like, but we keep working on it. We also offered a 5% discount on the 'gear tunnel slider setup' to customers who spent over $1000 with us in the past, so we're working more and more to reward loyal customers :)
