New Rivian- strange noise from the back while driving

I am new to Rivian by about 200 miles and one week… love the R1S Tri gen2 and so far so good - basically everything is working. BUT…. There is this whisper type noise that happens behind me when I am driving and I can’t figure out what it is. It happens often and at different intervals…. It is catching me by surprise because I have no idea what it is but it’s clearly something…. Hoping someone knows exactly what this is so I can just stop thinking about it.

I say a whisper because is not loud or hard… honestly I thought it was a seat belt winding up at first… it’s that kind of soft noise?

Probably the air compressor for the suspension.

Is it the pedestrian warning noise at low speeds?

No- definitely not…. This sound was taking place intermittently at speeds that were above the pedestrian speed…. Sounded like it was coming from inside the cabin.

I have it too. I think it’s the suspension. But I only hear it on one side. I forgot to mention it when it was in for service but I’ll do it next time because I don’t think it did it before but started about 2 months ago.

There are 2 compressor pumps in the back, actually 3 if you count the auxiliary air. But 2 are always active the suspension air compressor and kinetic suspension fluid pressure pump. The kinetic pump makes whirring noises on passenger rear barely audible, the air compressor is louder vibration noise usually louder on cold days on rear driver side.

Quick whirring noises is a perfect description for what I am hearing…. This must be it… so it’s normal? It’s not barely audible though- I can hear it very easily.
