New to Rivian Ordering Process

Hi,

New to the Ordering Process and have not seen any updates to the ordering process since back when you could spec it out then order. 2 weeks ago, I went to the Rivian site and put down the $1k deposit but didnt put in any info on spec other than the model. I read that putting down what you want comes a few months/years later. Is that correct? Or did I miss a step?

You didn't miss anything. When it's your turn to order they will invite you to configure and confirm your order. Depending on what you ordered and your location that could come in months or years.

ie I see you are in San Diego based on other annecdotal reports if you ordered a R1T you could be configuring and taking delivery this year. On the other hand if you ordered a R1S it could be years.
