I was searching around for something and opened the Rivian's Owner Manual and immediately what caught my eye was that it DOUBLED in pages from the last time I have opened it (at least for the 2022-2024 models)

https://rivian.com/support/article/r1t-owners-guide -> version 2024.51 and it says March 2025 on the footnotes

Page 405 is where the 12V instructions are (Would have been amazing to find this in 404 :p):
Rivian R1T R1S Official RIVIAN 12V Jump Instructions - Updated! 1742936621037-ni

...and this goes on until page 409, so great information there, even directions to charge the secondary 12v battery (for those who have a dual battery like mine).

I recommend the read as it makes it official and validates some of the information that we somehow knew before (Like 30Amp continuous power delivery in order to fully start the computer) and also adds a few interesting nuggets :)

cheers!

It must have been a little since you looked at the Owner's Guide. This section is basically the same as the previous copy that I had saved from Dec 2024. I did find a copy from Feb 2024, which had mostly the same informations as well. There was definitely a little more info in the latest doc than was back in early 2024.

Feb 2024 - 335 pages
Dec 2024 - 436 pages
Mar 2025 - 432 pages

As with most tech items, there is some good info in the Owner's Guide. The main thing I think that is lacking is screenshots of the user interface. It's much easier to describe the interface with images and specific areas highlighted with callout boxes.
