I feel like a RWD R1S and R1T with the new motors making 300-350hp and priced around $67,500 - $70,000 starting could bridge the gap to capture a lower-priced market until the R2 comes out. Most people don't need AWD or 600+hp and just need a good sized family hauler.I worry Rivian is late to this size vehicle.
I hope so but the R1S is bigger than many people need/want. AWD is a must in many parts of the country.I feel like a RWD R1S and R1T with the new motors making 300-350hp and priced around $67,500 - $70,000 starting could bridge the gap to capture a lower-priced market until the R2 comes out. Eh, it's fine. Nobody is offering an actual SUV sized vehicle like the R1S. EV9/Ioniq 7 coming, but not here yet. The crossover market is kinda already getting saturated, so when Rivian is ready, they can jump into that one. I would rather them focus on the untapped market the R1S is taking right now, if they can pump them out faster. Wish I had our R1S already TBH. We're going on a trip on May in our Model Y, and it's going to be really tight. Having the R1S would've made it a lot easier.I worry Rivian is late to this size vehicle.
