OMG- you also got the range wheels! I have the same w/ slate sky interior and love it. My wife insisted on the range wheels and I was very hesitant; of course she won and I now love them- very unique and futuristic looking in person- pictures don’t do justice.

R1S Tri Max Storm Blue 2025
Over a month since delivery, 900 miles on the R1S, the vehicle is a dream. I think my only complaint is that the battery efficiency isn't as optimal as I'd like, but it has been really cold lately.

Some positive surprises:
- The ride has been better than expected
- I haven't missed Google Maps too much
- Performance on the highway is better than expected

Some questions though:
- Can Rivian increase the max charging speed via software updates?
- The adaptive lights are great, but I'm always worried I'm creating a lot of glare for oncoming, does anybody know if that is true? I've looked at other Rivians coming but unsure if they have adaptive lights on.
- Cargo carrier recommendations, looking for a seamless cargo box with the cross bars. I recently tried to fit my Acura box on and looks like I'll need to buy another one :(

I've had my G1 R1T 2 years now, and don't notice the doors needing a firm shove to close like I did when new. Either I've adapted or the seals have; either way, I don't think you'll find it to be an ongoing issue!

Congratulations - I think the storm blue is a great color!

I sure hope so. I am pretty disappointed at the DCFC charging speed. I did a thorough charge test on a Gen2 Dual Max Performance and it charged much better. No idea why the Tri doesn't charge the same. Road and Track mentioned this as well.

I'm going to start a separate thread in the hope Rivian will pay attention. Not very happy that we paid a huge premium to get the Tri and it charges at 138kw at 37%. It ramped up to 204kw initially so it has the capability. Can't think of any reason why the thermals would be different on the Tri. I was in conserve mode going 75mph and preconditioned on the way to the supercharger. 65 degrees outside. Perfect conditions.

In our R1's, a firm push is needed only on the LAST door to be closed.

I think that's because the air seals in our R1's are so good.

I consider this to be the "flip side" of a very desirable feature.

Best to all!

I used Yakima as my cargo unit (brand based in Washington for years) until a hairline crack became a full blown tear ripping the top of the unit off during a 90 mph wind gust…

So, my new carrier is a Thule and I can say the design of this Thule is MUCH better than the Yakima. It’s easier to install and the edges feel more secure and durable than the Yakima.

Love the Yakima brand and use their Kayak and Bike carriers plus I ordered the ski/snowboard carier.
With the Gear Shop offering Yakima products it’s a guarantee the cargo unit will pair nicely and due to the design of the Thule unit it should work as well (I won’t be able to confirm till I take delivery of my storm blue tri — 4 more weeks!)..
