Coming back yesterday from some snow fun in the South Park Colorado mountains I knew it was going to be dicey making it home without a charge but I could not get the route planner to give me a sensible route. It had me stopping at a Chargepoint in Bailey then a Tesla SC in Conifer 20 miles away for 30 minutes and arriving home with 174 miles of range. Changing the Arrive At Home miles to 20 it would not change my stops or charge times. Also, I knew I could make it to the SC in Conifer with but it wouldn't skip the Bailey charging stop. Removing everything but Tesla from my charging options it then routed me over to Breckenridge, adding an hour of travel time. I finally just did a direct route to the Confier Testa SC, arrived with 15 miles of range, charged for 10 minutes (wow, fast!), and got home with 60 miles. I didn't need to stay so long at the SC but the charger was so fast that we were up to 70 miles by the time I got back from a potty break. Then on the drive home it over estimated my energy use, saying I'd arrive home with 50 miles of range but got there with 60. It seems like maybe the planner does not do a good job estimating regeneration when coming down in elevation?

BTW, only 1 charger was working at the Fairplay Chargepoint.
