Alright, been an owner of a used '22 R1T Launch Edition for a month now and I love most everything. Like many others, I think the factory sub is inadequate. Before the R1T, I had an Explorer ST with a JL 13TW5v2-4 in a custom enclosure I built. I still own the sub and have been trying to come up with ways to integrate it into the R1T. I present this plan hoping that anyone with more experience and/or knowledge could tell me why it wouldn't be a good idea. I feel like I can't be the only one to think about this plan but I have yet to see anyone share similar plans.

-Install 13TW5 in gear tunnel in JL spec box, which fits just fine.
-AudioControl LC-1.800 will power the sub at 500 watts RMS.
-I'll pull signal from the factory sub wires which will also be used to turn the amp on using AudioControl's GTO feature.

Here's the part I have no experience with but I think it will work:
-PowerMax PM3-75LK will plug into the 110v plug in the gear tunnel to power the Amp. This AC/DC converter will pull a maximum 13 amps from the 110v plug with a max output of 1095 watts and 75 amps, which should be plenty for the audio control amp.

I like this plan due to the simplicity of the setup and the ability to easily remove it all if needed. I also can't find enough info about attaching a 4 gauge wire to the factory 12v battery and routing it all the way to where the amp will mount. I find conflicting info about warning lights coming on when connecting things and I don't know enough about our 12V system at this point. I know a few people have added subs. I've seen the two most prominent posts about the JLs under the rear seats. Attempting my plan will only cost me 225 bucks since I already have everything except the power converter.

I'm not an electrical engineer so if anyone here has experience with this sort of thing, please speak up and tell that my plan is fine, why it's a bad idea or why it won't work. Thanks!
