@Polar used all of the cross bars and I only used half as many to keep the sunroof as clear as possible. I also had PPF installed on the sides and rear since I know bins, lumber, etc will slide there and with the piano black showing every scratch I didn't want that.

You had PPF installed on the roof rack, or on the black trim parts of the car on the sides above the doors?

I put PPF on the piano black parts of the roof and rear hatch. I know from previous experience putting bins, lumber, etc they get scratched and piano black will show everything. Cost $600 at a local shop.

@Nano How high off the glass are the crossbars? A lot shorter than stock?

I just went and measured 1.125 in. From the middle of the glass to the bottom of the crossbar. I can still get a wash mit under it.

I just mounted up a Rhino Rack Pioneer 5 Platform, 84" x 49" on the factory crossbars. Rhino Rack has a really nice military discount and I'm a cheap slut, so...

Going (RV) camping this week and to Outer Banks next week. Only thing really noteworthy is that I tried to go with the Rhino Rack HD mounting kit, but the brackets were too small and the bolts were impacting the crossbars. I designed and ordered larger brackets through SendCutSend and it all came together nicely (so far).

I use raxbrax XD quick releases on top of the folding brackets and remove the pivot bolt and upper part of the folding brackets when I am not using the awning. I also used some small 1010 extrusion under the folding brackets for extra beefiness.

I use a waterport weekender mounted to studs that stay in place on the extrusion when I take off the nuts.

I modified the ladder mount and bolted to the side of the overland ruff rax to used when climbing the ladder and sliding the spare tire onto the roof.

3,800 miles since install - mix of highway, commute, Offroad

Average of 2.18 miles/kW (Quad, Large, 20” AT with 12,000 miles, running boards, and mud flaps) - I also don’t normally drive for efficiency.
