Mine does the exact same thing. I assume that when fighting gravity like that it thinks it is hitting something.

Damn, all R1S might have same problem? I went to service center twice already, they still couldn’t figure out why. They scheduled me to bring my car in again next week to leave my car with them to figure out the problem, and sadly I just have my car for two days.

You might want to ask in advance whether they are available to actually work on it. Sometimes the call center people schedule service when the techs are backed up for weeks. My car has been at a service center for two weeks now just to swap wheels.

Assume all R1S have this problem, I will probably going to the service center and show them the problem and ask them to figure out the solution with their car. When they finally figured out the solution then I will setup new appointment with them.

Oh come on, at least try it!

I tried. It has tension. I need to use force to open it. It can’t be opened with slightly pul l up.

What if you switch to camp mode and auto-level it first? :)

What kind of angle are we talking about here? My driveway has about a 10 degree slope. I just parked nose downhill and my liftgate opened fine.

You could buy some ramps (race ramps) for that downward slope, then park on the race ramps to unload. Then backup, switch to the highest height, move over a little, and drive over one of them.

Sorry, it’s Friday and my brain is fried…🤪
