R1T: Keeping charging animations on

I know this is the opposite of what people are generally asking for, but my R1T is unlocked in my garage and I'd like to keep the charging animation on. When I lock the doors and then unlock them, the animation on the light bar goes on for a few minutes and then turns off. When I toggle the preference to enable the animation off and then on, they come on for a few seconds and then turn off.

Been through all the preferences and can't seem to figure it out.

Yeah, the charging animation turns off after few minutes or when the doors lock. I would love to have an option to keep the charging animation active even after the vehicle locks. I park next to a co-worker who has an Escalade IQ and when we plug in I can see both vehicles' states of charge out of my office window but after a few minutes his stays on and mine goes dark. I know I can check it on my phone, but it would be great to glance out of the window and immediately see what my level of charge is without having to use the app.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, the whole idea is to convey status of the vehicle, so why stop it after a few minutes? There's already a setting to turn it off completely...
