I've noticed random hoots in the night and early morning (lock sound) so I suspected the truck was randomly unlocking and locking. I always park in the driveway and it's bedroom window looks down on the driveway so it's close.

I've had it on the "lock only" at home setting so today I finally changed it to "off" at home. Still no difference and since I've been in the RTT (kiddo wanted to sleep in the tent again) for less than 2 hrs, it's happened three times - I do have not have the app open during this time.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? It's a bit concerning because even though it's in the driveway, it is outside and it's obvious that it's unlocked when the door handles are sticking out.

I've heard of people just getting unlocks if standing nearby their trucks for a while with their phone even with the proximity disabled... Shouldn't happen and you should report it!

In the meantime, I would disable Bluetooth permission for the app (nearby devices permission if Android) or disable Bluetooth completely in your mobile and see if the behavior persists.

Most likely the car is detecting they phone and unlock it anyway.

Thanks. I'd prefer to not have to disable Bluetooth since that would render Paak useless, right?

It's frustrating because while I suspected it was happening for awhile, I finally "caught it in the act" today.

My 2025 R1T does the same thing, randomly unlocking 1 or 2 times each night even though I have it set to lock only at home.

Our phones and our Rivian connect to the home Wi-Fi. The garage, being away from the router, has a low signal (even with the repeater in the structure). I chalk it up to, every now and then, the signal gets strong enough for it to register, and the truck goes "A key!" and unlocks. It's usually when (fire) doors into the garage from the house have been left open.

Yes it will, hence why I said to report it to Rivian.
My point of having it disabled is just to validate that this is the cause of this behavior.

I think this is a known issue hence why there is a setting to disable proximity lock/unlock at home in settings under access. I have mine set to lock only and have to unlock using the app which is annoying

Yeah, too bad that setting doesn't work at all. I'd happily lock and unlock manually if it worked as intended.

Hoping to get a last minute mobile appt this week, if not, I'll have to bring it in in May

I notice that this is happening more frequently since last update.

All,
Took delivery of a 24 R1T DM on Thursday. The transfer of ownership has not occurred. I keep the R1T in the garage plugged into the charger. This morning took the dogs out for their walk and accidentally brushed up against the charger handle a couple of times. Later in the morning looked out a the R1T was unlocked. The key was in the back part of the house and my phone had not come within 20 feet of the truck plus there were walls between the phone and the R1T.
Could brushing up against the charger handle cause this action? Any thoughts on what caused the doors to unlock?
Thanks in advance.

best guess I can offer is for some reason the truck thinks it is somewhere other than the location you have set as home.
