Hi Folks,

Forgive me if this has been explored, but I’m wondering if anyone has seen a difference in range by keeping either of these settings on?

I would like to have AWD on regularly on my Dual Motor, but wondering if there’s a decrease in range or any other wear issues I should be thinking of?

Coming from Tesla so slightly different settings and trying to understand nuances.

Thanks!

I drove a bunch on highways with snow still on and it felt very different and could see why you might want to do that. It will almost definitely take more electricity to power two motors vs only one motor. My range numbers were already taking a hit for a bunch of other reasons (cold temps, ski box, etc) that my estimates are very subjective, but the range hit was there, just not super extreme.

Yes, there will be a decrease in range, but you're not likely to notice it. You're also not likely to notice much of a difference by leaving the rear motor hooked up all the time.
