I am excited to share that I have received the 8 step email today. We had our R1S on preorder in August 2020 and were promised a delivery window of April 2023 - June 2023. Pretty excited to see they beat that.

I hope this trend continues and others get their cars soon enough.

Got my email and 8 steps 11/16(Wed). I was 3/28/19 Talked to guide. Having difficulty with adding wife as co-owner but guide says I have lots of time till delivery. It is built(i have VIN 2411). Some additional work and then train/truck/SSF service center. End of year?

Just to keep everyone updated. I was able to talk to my Guide today, I could have spoken to him earlier but due to us being on a thanksgiving break I scheduled the call for today. I was assigned the guide on Nov 19 for records.

Guide mentioned that the car is all built up and is currently being loaded for transportation. Guide did mention that they recently switched to transporting Rivian's via trucks as opposed to trains. This helps them deliver cars faster to the service local centers. With this he is expecting the car to arrive at San Francisco center between December 15-25 and he will update me towards the end of the week of a better estimate once the car is shipped out the factory. Another change Rivian made is if a customer lives less than 3 hours away from a service center then they are expected to visit the service center for pick up as opposed to in-home deliveries. Though they will provide Uber/Lyft credits to get to the service center.

I did ask him question regarding XPEL wraps for R1S, per him the program is not yet launched but he promises to find out more and share the information if its available.

I will share updates as and when they are made available.

My R1T arrived 2 weeks exactly after being shipped and I picked it up in the new San Jose service center 2 days afterwards (wed before Thanksgiving). So, I assume that they shipped it by rail. By truck, it should be less than a week.

Update: Guide contacted me today letting me know that the SUV has been shipped on Monday, shortly after we had spoken. He estimates 1-2 weeks more for it to get there and then getting through their inspection.

couple of questions, what was your estimated delivery at the end of October? Do you have the underbody shield? Have you always had the dark 22s? Seems like several of the latest deliveries have been dark 20 and 22s.
