Removing air compressor connection

Hello,

For testing the air compressor, I connected the female end to air hose quick connector to air compressor but I am not able to remove it.

Any ideas, do I just pull it?

Reverse of this. Pull back the retaining ring and then pull the hose away.

Anyone know how to remove the air compressor hose from R1S. My hose connection to compressor nipple is pulled back to hose but will not disengage.
