No. But I am following you. Please post any updates. Would greatly appreciate any progress you make. I chickened out once realized the seat sensors would have to be disconnected. The R1T service trucks have them removed so must be feasible.

I think the point being made is that the majority of owners have had their R1Ts less than a year so if a mod hasn’t been reported on, it probably hasn’t been done. I’ve been wanting to remove the rear 60 bench, but I don’t have a truck yet so I cannot begin to tinker with that. You’ve got a truck, so show us how it can be done!

if I had access to one I could flip up the seat and see how it is attached (are there bolts that can easily be reached and removed? Is the bck section held there by anything that is accesable etc.

This should give you an idea of the project.

The only possible hurdle I see is the seat heaters/electrical connection. This may cause an error but also possible it does nothing except make them stop working. It definitely looks removable though. You are left with the seat base which can not be removed but gives you some usable space and you won't punch a hole in the nice pleather.

Any ideas as to what the module behind the back seat does?

I may remove the driver's side bottom seat the next time I put my fridge in. It was a bit tight with it folded up and I had to place a tennis ball between it and the fridge to keep the air flow around the fridge. Removing the back could work too I guess.

Is that your video? I'm pretty sure my rear seat rattle is this same thing. If so, what did you use to secure that amp? Were those bolts missing a nut?
