It's so weird how so many Rivians experience such different behaviors. I can only assume there were many on going hardware changes that at least to us owners...appear undocumented.
Or there are supplier QC problems (like alleged in that legal fight with Bosch). Faulty parts but not faulty enough for people to think something is "broken". June '23 build here and I don't have any HVAC issues, other than 76° is quite warm, but 74° feels a little chilly. High outdoor temps in SoCal lately has been in mid 60s (that's chilly for us).

It is very strange the different perspectives.

I have a 10/22 build, I’ve been in temperatures ranging from -8 to 124 degrees and have never had a reason to think about the HVAC, it has just worked. 🤷🏻

Agreed with the above. Also my opinion is a lot of people use different settings that may or may not be "optimal". Imo I am adamant to not use the "Auto" setting, and it works great. Allowing it to do what it wants leads to wild & unpredictable results. But many others swear by Auto, LOL. Guess everyone is just different! 🤣

I’m betting it’s the software. It’s just like computers that are the same, yet each has its own personality lol.

I'm almost considering switching back to Spotify because at least the voice control worked. I hate having to type or scroll for music when this stuff should be hands free. I thought they would have had this fixed within a few updates of integrating Apple Music but kind of disappointing that it hasn't even been addressed. Also the quirks of Apple Music randomly dropping song quality make it tough.
Unfortunately Rivian broke the Spotify voice commands a few months ago and there still isn’t any fix. Lots of people, myself included, just get a message to update their Spotify app now.

Hoot. Hoot. I’m happy about the return of the owl.
(Rivians) Give a hoot!
(Rivians) Don’t pollute.

+1. Very frustrating when the kids in the back want a specific song and I have to type it in instead of saying it.

Wow that is disappointing, I subscribed to apple music specifically for the dolby stuff promised by Rivian now I guess there’s no turning back.

I really wish they would stop promising so many new features and focus in on just making the current stuff work. I definitely understand the new features and updates are exciting for the community and owners want innovation but can we get the basics nailed down before adding more stuff. I‘m okay with a couple of updates with just fixes and stability.

Gen 1 '22 R1T. Can't say I've ever even had to think about the HVAC. It's always worked perfectly for me, hot and cold. I'll even begrudgingly admit that before I actually had the truck, I would go on endless rants about not having physical buttons for the vents, but I change them so infrequently it's been 100% a non-issue for me.

Re: Spotify voice commands – every time I tried using Alexa to choose a song, it went to Amazon Music (not a subscriber). I had no idea it would work with Spotify, what am I missing?!
