Rivian Insurance Quote vs. Allstate Jan 2023

So an apples to apples comparison of my rate with the same exact coverage for my R1T from my existing Allstate agent and from Rivian ins... and keep in mind NY area rates are high (but we have $0 deductible full glass coverage).

$1,210/6 months on Allstate w/three other cars on the policy.

$1,086/6 months on Rivian ins with just the R1T on the policy

$876/6 months on Rivian ins if I bring one of my other vehicles over from Allstate (and that vehicle rate with Rivian ins was within $1 of what I pay with Allstate now lol).

So, if I bring one of my remaining 3 vehicles over w/me from Allstate... I save almost $700/year with the same coverage plus some added benefits specific to Rivian vehicles.

IIRC State Farm [edit: I'm an idiot sandwich, it's Nationwide] runs the "Rivian insurance" program. It's good to see it competitive against others, but for me, it still can't beat USAA. I'm waiting to see if my rates go up in the next cycle after my windshield claim goes through, and plan to shop around if it changes.

I believe it is Nationwide. For me their auto quote was better, their home owners policy was $800/year more. So im sticking with state farm for now. Hope I don't regret it for the Rivian.

My policy (Safeco) was hundreds less using my own insurance then going thru Rivian.
