Just saying like it is. You don't have to agree.
If you are saying it like it is can you show the math or the sources behind that claim?

Their stock dipped 15 percent after the price hike debacle and customer cancellations.

And a lot fewer flippers on carsandbid
And yet somebody on the other forum was posting that the fact that you can't sell them for $125k anymore is a sign of impending doom rather than the reality that deliveries are up so nobody is interested in your flip anymore.

It’s hard to say what would have been better for the longer term. I would have much preferred a 15% or whatever one-time hit. Than having the street constantly question Rivian’s margins over time on these pre-hike purchases.

It's your fault you bought into the IPO hype. You're not a tycoon. Save the whine for your momma.

Common now. Let's not bring our moms to this. At least be a respectful adult.

Troll alert!!

Your facts are off, April 29th the stock was 33.24 on May 4th the stock was 33.92, actually gained 68 cents (2%) between the price increase announcement and the price rollback announcements.

You also were ranting about rolling back the Amazon deal, completely incorrect, they are looking to remove the exclusive portion that Amazon has, Amazon has confirmed they are still committed to the original purchase number.

Very easy to make stuff up and type it on the internet, so called bloggers and tubers do it all the time, does not make it correct.

Be responsible, check your facts and refrain from making false claims as fact. We can all be better if we put in a little effort and try.

I'm far from a troll. March 1st 2022 is when RJ send out the letter of price increase and march 7 is when he reversed it.

March 1st open price 65.43. Closed at 61.91
March 7 open price 48. Closed at 42.

Amazon renegotiate should be close door between them two. Media is the one that fu*ked up their stocks

Rivian has a proven product that is in high demand, heaps of cash, and doesn't have to manage a transition from legacy ICE to EV. It takes years to build a profitable car company, even under good macro conditions. If the next quarterly update shows Rivian is on pace to meet or exceed this year's production goals, and they are continuing to reduce the cash burn rate, the stock price should start to turn around. Just two cents from another non-expert. Happy trading!

I still think it's a good buy. The street in general is really pessimistic at the moment with all the banking failures. The funny thing about the market is how absolutely stupid people are. The Federal Reserve has been saying for a year now that they are intentionally making the economy cool off and inflict some pain to get inflation under control because runaway inflation is worse.

Yet so many people are flipping their shit now that some of that pain is happening. Rivian has enough cash to make it through the storm, they should reach the other side which will be profitability.

This has essentially been an issue from day one. Outlets like bloomberg would constantly put a negative spin on everything, even if it was positive.

Not sure who RJ pissed off in the media to earn this treatment.

Care to address the news from last September that Amazon was slowing down their expansion plans and closing distribution centers? They have more vehicles than they need right now and selling them before they are well into being worn out means they are going to lose money on them.
I humbly admit to not knowing how on Earth Amazon operates (other than the things like relying upon cruelty inflicted on its employees and having wiped out a lot of conventional retail, etc.)

I can't fathom how Amazon logistics are so ruthlessly efficient and phenomenally profitable, but it's connected to the evidence that Bezos has no heart and an ethical bypass.

As for Amazon since Sep, it's really Amazon since mid '21 … as the "stay home and buy stuff" covid era got old and people slowed their spending, Amazon's stock price suggests it's delivering a lot fewer boxes.

A little googling indicates that Amazon has about 30,000 vans. It has delivery partners, not driving Amazon vans: 75,000. So the 100K is more like a 5 year renewal plan, not a rapid expansion, but maybe they had a plan to quit the independent drivers and expand their fleet.

As others note, I just don't see why this "negotiation" is even a negotiation, let alone a public news story. Why isn't it just a one-liner document saying "suspended" on that exclusivity clause.

Who agreed to a one-sided exclusivity that doesn't compel the buyer to take a planned production rate? Who built up the EDV capacity beyond the plan? Why is the R1 still slow? Hopefully Rivian is not still crying "chip shortage."

With $RIVN "flat lining" on its all time low under $13, there's not much to be said or done.
