It used to be that $1B valuation and being a unicorn meant something. These days, just about any startup in certain categories are automatically valued beyond a billion.
Yeah, it's no big deal these days. In fact my daughter just did that for her Senior project in High School. She's a smart kid, but only got a B+ because, just like a science fair volcano, starting a billion dollar company comes across as a low-effort, low-imagination choice.

Living on property I would LOVE a great and reasonably priced side by side that is fun but have a dump bed and can do real work. Right now the Polaris EV is upwards of $30k and I’m betting Rivian could do MUCH better and there are not any good options.
I would be interested in something like the Polaris that has off road potential (for taking it on the beach) but is geared toward paved roads. Golf cart communities are pretty prolific, and if ALSO has a product that is substantially better or different from a typical golf cart they could do really well.

Of course $30k+ is pretty steep for a golf cart upgrade. A four-passenger option between $10k and $20k could do really well, assuming it is innovative in some way.

3 products immediately come to mind. 1. A upscale mountain electric bicycle. 2. A stylish urban scooter like the one Honda just enveiled. 3. An electric cart for low speed road use. Florida is crawling with these in many communities.

Watch the original announcement teaser. Suggests urban commuter.
