Gotcha. I think this rack looks great and would like some type of rack to mount a roof top tent ontop of so I can still use the rearview but i'm finding it hard to justify the cost. Was mostly curous why you didn't want it anymore and what you said makes sense, appreciate the reply. If i find myself willing to spend the cash in the future i'll be sure to reach out.
