The easiest way today is just take whatever gap of battery you need to fill (in kWh), divided by your charging rate, and you'll know how long it will take to "fill up". Then schedule it in the app as appropriate. Agreed they need to implement time of departure feature into charging schedule functionality.

I wonder if a departure time is ever going to happen. I just bought an R1T as an upgrade to my Chevy bolt. The bolt was awesome with delayed charging to 40% and then doing all the math for the departure time. For the Rivian, I’m currently playing with adjusting the amperage vs setting a scheduled amount of charging overnight. The truck is amazing, but this upgrade would just make a good thing better in my opinion.

It's fairly well known that limiting the time your battery spends at high states of charge is best for battery health (thus the 70% daily limit).

When I go on a road trip I try to take that into account and set the vehicle to finish charging within an hour of my intended departure time.

The only real way I've found to do that, though, is to just play with the charging rate and watch the estimated time remaining. But there's GOT to be a better way to do that.

My utility doesn't implement time of use so I can charge whenever I want. But I would love for there to be an automated way to delay charging so that it finishes just before I leave
Yup, people have been asking for this one since day 1. I'd use it from time to time too. Haven't heard a reason why they haven't implemented it, seems like it would fairly simple and useful?
