Well crafted piece of marketing. Smart of them to lean on the nostalgia of the brand. I hope this is successful. VW can make decent trucks - I've rented Amaroks before when traveling. Not sure about their abilities to make a good EV pickup that Scout lovers will be into though...

Leaning heavy on the SC manufacturing facility. Funny that they feature Charleston so prominently in spite of the fact that the manufacturing facility will be outside of Columbia. I recognized one shot featuring Columbia compared with about 8 of the low country.

Maybe I am biased/jaded because I work in the ad biz, but there's very little meat on those bones. Plus, a fair bit if hype and waxing poetic—for something that isn't going to be on the market until 2026. Take it all with a healthy dose of salt. Much can change between now and then.
