I hope this helps someone avoid some frustration. Yesterday I needed to let someone drive my car so naturally, I went to the rivian app and clicked on SHARE VEHICLE under Security and Access. It sent an invite which was accepted by the person who had the Rivian app installed. Half an hour later after much frustration on both sides, I realized that all that gave the person was a "profile" in the vehicle so they could see the vehicle in the app and save seat and mirror settings, but they could not actually drive it. You have to ALSO share a digital key from your wallet.
I hope that this confusion gets fixed in the app. It should at least tell you that to allow drive access you need to go to the wallet and share a key.
Ideally, it would ask if you want to do that and then take you to the wallet.
