Nothing new here, long time lurker of the forums so I know it isn’t common for orders to be cancelled for a bunch of different reasons.
I originally found an R1T from the shop which had about a 5 week delivery date from the date I placed the order. That specific order was cancelled about 3 weeks in due to the VIN no longer being available. They were able to match me to another vehicle with different VIN. The new one had about a 4 week wait.
Nowabout 6 days away from delivery I received a text from my local delivery center indicating that my upcoming delivery was cancelled due to unforeseen transit delays and would reschedule me as soon as they have an updated ETA.
At this point, I’m thinking of just purchasing one in the pre-owned market. I know others have physically “confirmed” their orders although I never recall “confirming” mine. Is my shop order the same thing as confirming the order?
I ask because I’m going to request a refund of my deposit and suspect they will refuse to provide it. My question is, aren’t they part at fault for not holding up their end of the bargain on multiple occasions.
Thoughts?
