I recently picked up a Yakima Road Shower, should keep 4 gallons of coffee pretty warm up there! Easy access out the driver window for road tripsI'm going to start mounting my Icego on the roof and I will drill a hole through the roof glass to access 12V power. If I need a drink while I am driving I can just engage D+ and reach up there and grab it... Thoughts?
All joking aside I don't think you are supposed to drink water (or coffee) from the road shower, I think risk of lead contamination or something but can't remember where I read that.I recently picked up a Yakima Road Shower, should keep 4 gallons of coffee pretty warm up there! I really was looking forward to getting something like this for my R1S, but now thereās no 12 V in my frunkHey all,
Amazon delivered my ICECO GO20 Dual Zone cooler this morning. Thought I would post some photos.
Itās not the largest cooler/refrigerator/freezer but it fits in the gear tunnel or the front trunk. Will add more details as I try it out.
First test and experience. Plugged into the house via 110. Set the freezer side to 0 and the other side to 35. Took about 30 minutes to get to temp. Then I put a cup of water in both sides (~50-60 starting temp) and after 1 hour the cup on the freezer side was starting to freeze and the cup on the fridge side was around 40-45 degrees. Overall seems to cool well.
Also the app is ok, very basic but you can control the temp settings and monitor the temp. One other note regarding the included cords, kinda odd but to use the AC adapter you have to use both cables, the DC cable plugs into the cooler and then to the AC cable to the wall.
Energy Draw Test with compressor on:
33W with DC power
41W with AC power
The space in front of the camp speaker is perfect for a Espresso machine....All joking aside I don't think you are supposed to drink water (or coffee) from the road shower, I think risk of lead contamination or something but can't remember where I read that.
That'd be great! Would love to hear your experiences!I just ordered the Bodega 36 and will report back once I receive it.
Couldn't you just add a porta potty to "get the lead out"All joking aside I don't think you are supposed to drink water (or coffee) from the road shower, I think risk of lead contamination or something but can't remember where I read that.
I got the ICECO J40Pro. It fits in the frunk with the shelf taken out, BUT the bottom does not rest flush with the bin. When I have time, Iāll see if I can build a custom lower shelf to stabilize.Bumping this to see if anyone has tried the 36 Bodega in the frunk. Would love something with additional capacity like the 36 in the frunk. Anyone have any other coolers they've gotten to fit in the frunk?
Nope. It wont fit at all. But I think you'd have to go pretty small to have enough space to open the cooler door and pull something out.

Pretty sweet cooler actually. I didn't know they even made "smart" coolers. It would be nice to keep some ice on one side frozen and then some sodas on the other kept cool. Might need to add this to the amazon list.Hey all,

I'm not sure how well it would do at keeping ice frozen, the min temp setting is 0, it does alright with ice packs and frozen food but I think ice would be a stretch, certainly wouldn't make ice.Pretty sweet cooler actually. I wouldnāt try to make ice in a cooler thatās moving around, but 0F should absolutely keep ice frozen. It would even keep European seawater in ice form.I'm not sure how well it would do at keeping ice frozen, the min temp setting is 0, it does alright with ice packs and frozen food but I think ice would be a stretch, certainly wouldn't make ice.
Good point. I bet it could keep a couple of those plastic reusable ice cubes mostly frozen though. That might be more of a space saver than traditional ice as well.I'm not sure how well it would do at keeping ice frozen, the min temp setting is 0, it does alright with ice packs and frozen food but I think ice would be a stretch, certainly wouldn't make ice.
Yes of course, I was saying that the fridge my not be up to the task more than 0F not being up to the task. I recall some melty ice cream at some point but maybe I had the cooler in the front trunk on a hot day, mostly it has done well keeping stuff frozen. The temp does fluctuate some.I wouldnāt try to make ice in a cooler thatās moving around, but 0F should absolutely keep ice frozen. It would even keep European seawater in ice form.
Yes I think that this would work fine, I have used it on some typical cooler ice packs in the past.Good point. I bet it could keep a couple of those plastic reusable ice cubes mostly frozen though. That might be more of a space saver than traditional ice as well.
I like these if anyone is wondering:

Oh yeah, ice cream is really tough. That stuff really has to be stored below 0F, and for longer term it should be well below 0F, more like -5 to -10F.Yes of course, I was saying that the fridge my not be up to the task more than 0F not being up to the task.
