Interesting observations about the Rivian’s “sleep-wake” cycle. First, a bit of background. I’m in Barcelona getting ready to get on a the Dave Koz Jazz Cruise (Tough gig, but someone’s gotta do it!). We have solar at home with storage (2x Powerwall)and are 100% self consumption. So we try to maximize the energy we make, otherwise the system curtails, and thus I want to dump what I can in the truck. So I want to use the app to start and stop the charge. But it won’t wake remotely. But if I catch the truck when it’s awake, I can start the charge and dump power out of the batteries or from solar…so, I looked at the app just now, and said, “oh good, it’s awake” and started the charge. So I get to thinking, what’s the cycle. So it looks to wake up from deep sleep (we are away, no phone keys near) about every 6 or so hours. Here’s a screenshot from my firewall, and a list of where it’s talking…hope someone finds this interesting…
