I've been part of the Smartcharge Rewards program for a year now and overall I am pretty satisfied with it. I am in the NYC area but they also provide this to people in Portland, Florida, Georgia, Nashville and Calgary and I highly recommend joining. All you do is connect an ODB dongle and after that it's pretty much set and forget. You get $.10 per kWh off for off-peak charging as well as other monthly rewards. Electricity rates in NYC are pretty high but I've been able to get pretty much half of my charging costs back with this program. There is also a portal you can log into to get a lot of good info (efficiency, aux. power usage, ambient temps, etc.. that you can export to Excel and manipulate as you wish.
I did reach out to them about adding Rivian to the compatible vehicles and got this response:
Thank you for reaching out to SmartCharge Support regarding your new vehicle.
Unfortunately, we still do not support the Rivian R1T and R1S in the SmartCharge New York Program. We are continuing to work on supporting this vehicle but we do not have an estimated time of arrival for this support to launch. As soon as the vehicle is supported we will be sure to notify you immediately via email.
So I'm hoping if more people reach out they will add it soon. If anyone wants to join the program if you use my referral code 13007817 we both get some credits. Not sure if I am allowed to post the code but I can remove it if necessary.
