Soft close doors retrofit?

Has anyone done a retrofit of soft close doors to their vehicle? Is it even possible?

I love my R1S but the doors don’t always shut easily. I notice that lowering any window helps to equalize the air pressure, but soft close would be a permanent and more premium fix.

On a related note, my service tech echoed this sentiment and suggested to Rivian to open up the cabin air feed flap in the HVAC when the doors are opened to give the air a path to escape. No idea if this will ever be implemented, but a software fix is possible at least in theory.

Rivian can easily lower the window by an inch, like Tesla, when opening and closing the door to facilitate ease of closing via SW OTA update, if they wanted to.

Telas does not do it to help close the doors though … they do just like about all frameless doors made in the past 30 years. To avoid poor seal around the window glass.

Yes, still solve the problem so its an easy solution.

Everybody I drive with slams the doors when they get out so it's a normal close on the rivian. I like that the car is so insulated for sound so I can't hear them screaming and cursing at me after they've shut the door.

One of the things my wife loves about the Model X vs. the Rivian. We are always terrified of waking up the kids if they've fallen asleep in the car.
