Apples to oranges. Sure the TeslaTap MINI is smaller that the regular sized Lectron. Why don't you compare it to the small sized Lectron? Or to the FULL sized TeslaTap? Likewise, both TeslaTap and Lectron offer different current ratings for their adapters. The Lectron adapter that I have is the one @brancky3 linked to in #2: it is almost as small as the mini TeslaTap, it supports 48A charging, and costs less than HALF what the TeslaTap sells for. I have used mine for more than a year without any problems.BTW, that Lectron adapter that is linked is only rated for 40 amps.
...
I use a TeslaTap Mini. More expensive, smaller and more compact. Full 48 Amp support.
Thanks for the perfect terminology, that explained it well. I will buy one of those when...This is a NACS to J1772 which isn't the same as NACS to CCS. Rivian will be sending out a NACS to CCS adapter needed for supercharger access and there are a couple of companies that should be shipping them early next year.
Along with many replies here. I also used the same when I first received our R1S. We have a Tesla and I just used the adapter until I moved the Tesla charger and installed the Rivian charger. No problems. Note: Only used with portable charger at home not at a Tesla supercharger.Does anyone have experience with the Lectron - Tesla to J1772 Adapter(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YFY768S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)?
I purchased one and reached out to Rivian support to see if i would have any issues using it and they told me that they do not endorse third party adapters.
I figured this could in very handy at Tesla (L2) destination chargers but have not dared use it yet after hearing stories about incompatible chargers bricking Rivians.
