The close button on the R1S hatch is really hard to see

My family and friends can never find the black button to close the rear hatch. Invariably, I watch in the rear view mirror as they give up and manually close it. Even I often have to hunt for the button. I have thought about some type of .5 inch round, yellow, vinyl sticker--but assume it would not last long. There are a lot of creative thinkers here--ideas are welcomed.

I know this is a small issue and may not be worth a thread, but it is something most R1S owners deal with. I did search for an existing thread that would be appropriate.

It is right under the "V" on the RIVIAN on the tailgate. It appears this was done by design so that the "V" points to the button.

Of course the above won't help when you're trying to close the hatch in which a case a sticker or something similar may help.

You can close it for them, on the top icon bar 3rd icon from the left is a vehicle, press that and a panel opens, on the bottom you can open and close the lift gate.

Edit, you can also ask Alexa to do it for you

I know. But an unseen button bugs me. It ain't right ;-)
A simple ergonomics solution should be possible.

I just close mine this way half the time anyway. Owner's guide doesn't say not to, therefore it's okay to.

I am sure it doesn’t hurt anything to manually close it. It would be nice to have a more visible button
