I'm looking at towing a medium sized U-haul trailer from Denver to San Diego this July. Looks relatively easy to do - just lots of stops and possibly having to disconnect the trailer to charge.

I am worried about the Green River to Salina stretch of I-70. I set efficiency to 1 mi/kwh and ABRP has me diverting off halfway through to charge in Castle Dale. Seems like this stretch should be doable with a charge to 100% at Green River, but wondering what others who have towed this stretch have experienced?

I think that is because of the, in my opinion, very conservative efficiency setting you've set for the trip. While I haven't driven that specific leg, generally I-70 in Utah is an 80 mph speed limit, and high speed is likely going to be the thing that hits your efficiency/range the most. It's probably worth doing a deep charge in Green River to give you as much buffer as possible, and then bring your speed down a bit for that leg to keep yourself at or above 1.2 mi/kWh. With that setting in ABRP, it seems to be fine making the stretch between Green River and Salina. You'll also have a much better sense of the real world efficiency numbers you'll get towing that specific trailer with your specific vehicle by the time you get to Green River, so you can make a bit of a more informed real world decision on how comfortable and feasible making that stretch is.

Likewise, speed (i.e. wind) has a huge impact. I recently drove though Monument Valley from Flagstaff and was concerned about the range. I ended up getting 375 mile range by dropping down to 60-65 and following trailers (drove 225 and ended with 150 miles). I've spent years cycling and riding a motorcycle. It makes a huge difference.
