TPMS sensors - does the Rivian no longer automatically sync new sensors?

Gen2 R1S DM, switched from oem 22s to Atomic 20s with Atomic Rivian specific tpms sensors and no Syncing yet. Emailed Atomic CS awaiting reply

What color ones do you have? And what style? The black ones with valve stems seem to work fine as do the shorter silver ones that look closer to the factory ones.

I’m sure they will help you out: I got a winter setup from tirerack shipped to me and the tpms they installed sync’d right up

Atomic CS replied that they will be sending me a new set of sensors. I guess they determined the ones I originally purchased from them will never sync up.
My question is will they cover the cost of replacement, its no cheap matter to remount and rebalance 4 tires. I’m waiting for a reply from Atomic on this question now

Did this issue ever get better with new software releases? I just swapped to a set of 22” Rivian OEMs and I’m getting the TPMS warning.
