This is a big one. The 50 song limitation was always a bit strange. I suspect Rivian wrote this app., not Apple, which is why it sucks so much.

Motion Cam improvements are welcome, but the cameras are of such poor quality on the G1 I'm still getting third party a dash cam.

Pretty harsh comment about Rivian’s software capability. Apparently Volkswagen got it wrong.

I really hope this one fixes my longtime issue. Happens at home but mostly at work where the truck stays awake (but locked for the most part) for hours on end because apparently the phone-key being 50-75 ft away is too close. Data as shown by ElectraFi and clearly losing more than 1 kWh just during the time I'm in the office. Super annoying and it became a problem when they made a big PaaK update around a year ago.

This update is good after so many features in the last one. It's excellent that Rivian has monthly updates, but trying to add tons of new features without taking the time to prioritize the smoothness of the display and infotainment will wind up being more frustrating than anything. I've noticed quite a bit of lag in the infotainment, so I'm looking forward to that getting cleaned up.

Well F. The OP didn't tag it Gen2, but I see that on RivianTrackr. That's a damn shame. Unless it's only my truck, they still have a lot of work to do on this issue for Gen1.

It’s primarily for people sitting at a stop light who are texting, surfing, playing with Nav, etc. and not paying attention.

It‘s good we’re doing our part to support this behavior.

Down here we need to know when the vehicle BEHIND you determines that you’re not quick enough on launch from the light and is about to express their displeasure is a very much unwelcomed way.

The earlier camera recording is a big one. I complained to my Rivian contact multiple times that Rivian cameras are programmed to record people and not objects (ie, vehicles) that come into view. That is why so many Rivians get hit by other cars in parking lots with no recordings. I was told that this update should fix this issue, but some will complain (of course, someone always complains) that they will have too many recordings being stored. Hopefully we don't need the extra recordings with all the people jumping ship from Tesla.

Looks like this update has more for Gen 1! Good to see them getting feature parity where possible so quickly for those vehicles.

Even though it's small, this is one is a BIG deal to me:

• Reduced the intrusiveness of unbuckled occupant notifications.

If you have the audacity to drive through a parking lot with no seatbelt it is LOUD, it turns down the radio and it will keep chiming even AFTER coming to a stop! It's SOOOO obnoxious

Simply always fasten seatbelt prior to placing the vehicle in motion. Easy habit to acquire. Parking lots can be more dangerous than the interstate. Bevis and Butthead drivers are everywhere. Drive well.

I love that they are doing this. Some will complain about the recordings and most likely the battery use.

I think Rivian will need to allow larger drives to store the data. I don’t expect 2 TB to be enough.

Yeah: was thinking the same thing: there’s already a light turned green notification in some cities!
