Question for those in Vermont who have taken delivery -

What vehicle classification did the R1T fall into when registering? It seems like this would fall under a truck >6100 lbs and using "other fuel". How much was the registration fee?

Has anyone had any luck w/ vehicle registration in VT?

Rivian (or whatever third party they are using) has been dragging their feet. This weekend I received the returned/rejected application from the VT DMV (including all payment and documentation). The title application was filled out incorrectly (6000 for loaded, 7200 for empty weights?!). I guess the state doesn't like the loaded weight being less than empty.

My temp plate expires in ~10 days (And the truck was actually picked up for service last week).

I drove my R1T all over VT a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun talking to all the Vermonters that had never even conceived of an electric truck, let alone one as capable as the R1T. I also got some adventurous types that did know about them swoon over it saying it was their dream truck.

Not me, unfortunately. I did finally see my first one (other than my own) on Sunday while travelling along route 22A. It was Rivian Blue.

I think the blue looked better in person than in the photows I've seen, though I only saw it for a few seconds

I did. Rivian sent a corrected Title application to me via FedEx overnight. I mailed it back to VT DMV on 8/17 and received my plates yesterday (9/2).

That said, I still need to make sure the lender gets the title, as right now they've sent me 3 nastygrams. The last one stated they would default the loan (and increase interest) if they don't receive it by October 11th.

I've only used 89 (between Exits 12 and 21) so far, but it works pretty well. It does seem to like bouncing around the lane a bit, but the updates definitely seem to be improving things.

I use Driver + on 89 every week. No problems at all, except when going directly into the sun and the cameras get blinded, as is to be expected.
