So this maybe started 2 weeks ago but I really noticed it in the last week. When I charge my truck at home it randomly gets a vehicle error and stops charging. I guess I really noticed it one morning when my truck had less than expected charge. Odd thing is if I unlock my truck via my phone and then lock it again the charge starts back up. What gives?

The truck may be detecting a problem with the wiring and stopping the charge to avoid starting a fire.

I would double check the plug and all the wiring on that circuit to see if there are any loose connections or anything that gets hot while the vehicle is charging.

I had a similar issue and power cycled the charger itself. No issues since then.
I did that initially and the error went away for a few days then came back. It’s only strange because I’ve been charging my R1T for almost a year with this setup and I’ve charged 5 other evs over 4 years with the same wall chargers. My other guess was the Lectron adapter I’ve been using pooped the bed.

Noticed some strange behaviour last night. App says I'm charging at home but at 0kw. Funny thing is I'm not even plugged in. This morning it shows correctly.

You may want to look into that Lectron charger more. I've seen reviews and things mentioning they aren't UL listed products since they are Chinese. I specifically didn't get this brand because of this and it seemed like safety could be an issue.

I had a similar experience. I have the Rivian L2 charger. My space heater in my garage would create a voltage issue and the charger would stop charging and start glowing red. Took me two weeks to figure that out. It was driving me crazy.

I know it’s definitely not my charger. Wiring is good, it charges my Tesla just fine. So it’s either the Lectron or the vehicle going to sleep as someone else in another thread pointed out as their issue. The fact that charging resumes when I unlock makes me think it’s the sleep issue.

I had this problem with a Lectron adapter after about 5 months of use. Switched to TeslaTap and haven't had an issue since. In the 5th month with the TeslaTap now. We'll see what happens.

Yeah my next step after the software update is to switch to a Tesla tap or switch one of my Tesla chargers for a Tesla j-version. The lectron gave me a good 8 months but sounds like it’s not so great. I wish Rivian had their own adapters we can just attach to chargers.

If anyone is curious, it would appear the Lectron adapter failed. I switched to a Tesla Tap and the problem has gone away. Guess it really is superior to the Lectron.
